Good colour. Lovely nose. Rich, full, ample and very elegant. Medium-full body. Ripe and plump. Good tannin. Still a little adolescent compared with some. Lovely fruit. Very harmonious. Long. Lovely finish. Fine. (July 2005)

Medium-full colour. Some development. Aromatic, spicy, gently oaky nose. Medium-full body. Ample nose. Not the greatest of grip and concentration, but attractive and accessible. Not short by any means. Ample and generous. Warm finish. Very good plus. (March 2004)

Medium-full colour. Rich, full and stylish on the nose. Very pure. Full, rich, concentrated and very well balanced. Great elegance and purity. Lots of depth and dimension. This is super. Very lovely finish. (July 2005)

First vintage. Medium-full colour. Less development than in his village wines. Good depth, fruit and substance, but a little raw and unformed at present. Medium-full body. Lovely ripe tannins. Very cool, classy, plummy fruit. Very gently oaky. Lovely harmony. Fine. (June 2005)

Medium colour. Fragrant nose. Light but stylish. Medium body. Ripe, fresh and balanced. Good depth. For what it is, better than his Boudots. Long. Very good indeed. (July 2005)

Medium to medium-full colour. Rather more fragrant on the nose than his Vosne-Romanée Colombière. A little fuller, too. Riper and more succulent. Soft tannins. Ripe and very intense. Long and vigorous. Velvety and lovely. Very good for a village wine. (June 2005)

Medium colour. Stylish, positive nose. Light, but ripe and positive. Medium weight. Attractive and balanced. Good intensity. Long. Lots of character. Nearly ready. Good plus. (September 2005)

Domaine du Clos Frantin/Albert Bichot

Medium-full colour. Lovely, cool Pinot fruit on the nose. Balanced and classy. Profound and very pure. Impressive depth and finesse on the palate. Full bodied, rich and concentrated. Long. Very fine. (July 2005)

Good colour. Rich, fat, old-viney nose. Sumptuous fruit. Not a bit aggressive. Ripe, succulent and classy. Medium-full body. Ripe tannins. Very good grip. Long and very classy. Very Vosne. A noble wine. Very concentrated. Fine plus. (June 2004)

2011 TO 2028+

Domaine François Lamarche

Medium to medium-full colour. Ripe and elegant. Cool and balanced on the nose. On the palate this is medium to medium-full bodied, quite concentrated, long and classy. But it doesn't have the depth of the Clos Frantin. Fine though. Lovely finish. (July 2005)

2010 TO 2025

Maison Nicolas Potel

Medium-full colour. A little sturdy and burly on the nose. Slightly tough. Needs time. On the palate this is only medium to medium-full bodied, and it lacks concentration and depth.
